The Inside Scoop About The Back Pain & Joint Center of Texas

I am so excited you are here! I am Julianna Daniel, and I am here to give you the inside scoop about The Back Pain & Joint Center of Texas. On my blogs, I will be sharing what we have been up to recently, our most exciting upcoming events and more!

Let’s jump right in!

It’s crazy how fast this year has gone by, right? From the pandemic, to murder hornets, to winning the world series, it’s been a whirl wind! With that being said, let’s talk about some great things we have done so far.

To start with, we got to be on the cover of the MCABW magazine! MCABW stands for the Montgomery County Association of Business Women. They give out 12 scholarships a year to local schoolgirls, who truly deserve it. This year there was one girl who was going to school to be a chiropractor. That made it even more special!

We held our 2nd Annual Overdose Awareness Walkathon, and that was incredible! There were more than 40 different health and wellness vendors in attendance, and a kid’s corner that included a bounce house and more! Congressional candidate and former NAVY SEAL Morgan Luttrell joined us and shared his experience with opioids and the effects they have had on our veterans. The Honorable Judge Wayne L. Mack spoke about the heartbreak his family went through, and the toll opioids take on our county. All in all, there were more than 200 people in attendance. We already can’t wait for next year! On top of that, we got to join M-COPE for their End Overdose event. They had a memorial walkway, narcan training, and more than 5 different speakers including Governor Greg Abbott!

Fast forward a little bit to September, were we joined the Conroe Fire Department at their 9/11 Stair Climb and honored the lives lost and the families affected, as we climbed 60 flights of stairs at the Conroe Fire Training Facility. I thought I was pretty fit, but sadly I was mistaken… by the time I finished, my legs felt like jello!

Then it was time for Judge Mack’s Annual Prayer Breakfast and when I tell you it was packed, I mean PACKED. This event just gets better and better every year. Montgomery County’s finest were in attendance, there were many incredible speeches, powerful prayers, delicious food, and awesome silent auction items! This is a definite “do not miss event”, so make sure you keep it on your radar for next year.

Shortly after, I travelled to San Antonio to show our support for the Hope Hits Harder Cancer Foundation. Hope Hits Harder is a non-profit that was founded in 1988 after Tom “T-Bone” Pounds wife was diagnosed with terminal cancer. Today, T-Bone and his daughter Jaqueline continue the fight by helping take the burden off families whose children have been diagnosed with cancer. It was truly an honor to sit with them and see the children whose lives have been changed for the better because of this foundation. If you are ever in San Antonino, stop by the Jana M. Bounds Hope Bridge!

In October we received HUGE NEWS! Governor Greg Abbott declared October as “Chiropractic Health Month”. To say we were thrilled, is an understatement. For decades patients have been told there is nothing that can be done for their pain, besides take pain medication or have surgery. We’ve always known that was not the case. As Thomas Edison said… “The doctor of the future will give no medication but will interest his patients in the care of the human frame, diet and in the cause of prevention of disease”.

Skip to the end of October and you know what that means… Halloween! Our theme this year was The Wizard of Oz, and we went all out! Dr. E was the tinman, Trena played a great Dorothy, and we even had a yellow brick road! Check out our Facebook for the pictures from that day. They are priceless!

Now that November is here, this train hasn’t stopped. We are bringing back our “30 Minutes to Health” workshops and monthly seminars! November is also “Diabetes Awareness Month” and in support, this month’s seminar will be over diabetes and nerve damage, so make sure you save the date for November 10th at 6pm!

Till next time!
